Was commissioned to do this artwork for the Team Karate Centers. Still in the approval stage, but I like the way this is looking. I was very focused on the mood of this piece. I wanted a mystical mood and dramatic piece with the use of colors. I wanted to convey the rising sun imagery that maybe once inspired the icon used to represent the rising sun. I also wanted to capture a more stunning group of colors. Photographers that take the best pictures do so during what they call the magic hours. Just at sunrise and just at sunset and that is what generates the most vibrant colors and contrast with dramatic shadows and lighting. That was what I was trying to accomplish.

I have done three paintings for a company called The Soulful Planet. The first was a train coming from outer space into earths atmosphere, called “Soulful Planet”. The second was one called “The Village” Here is the third painting I was asked to do, called “The Cave”.

It seems like getting my site to be fully functional is like eating an elephant. You can eat one, but only one bite at a time. So with that in mind I will be adding something new each day. In time the elephant will be eaten.

As you can notice my website is being updated. I believe all of the updates are complete with the exception of uploading all of the files for display. That will take the next few days so be patient as I upload all of my files as well as add comments to each artwork.
